JANET MARLIN

BSc (Psychology)

Clinical Director

Janet has over 20 years of experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training at the Behavioural Medicine Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. Janet has worked in clinical settings with Psychologists and provided treatment for patients with chronic somatic and mental health difficulties.

Janet’s experience includes work as the COO of Odyssey Health Services where she has been actively involved in various forms of behavioural and cognitive behavioural therapy including: Behavioural Activation (BA), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

Janet’s prior experience includes offering counselling services for SHAPE (Strategies for Healthful and Pleasurable Eating) also offered by the Behavioural Medicine Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and as a counsellor for Off Site Resources Inc., an employee assistance program utilized by large employers in southern Ontario.

MARIE-PIERRE GAGNE, RP

BSc (Psychology), MA (Counselling Psychology)

Marie-Pierre is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Marie-Pierre has experience working with individuals struggling with diverse issues such as mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and substance abuse. Modalities that she leans towards in her practice of counselling include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Marie-Pierre provides counselling with the goal of helping people manage their struggles and learn new skills in a safe and non-judgemental space. She is also passionate about helping people learn to be more self-compassionate with themselves.

Lynn Luchka, HBKin

Intake Coordinator

Lynn has over 17 years of experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.  Lynn initially worked as a Behavioural Therapist, a member of an interdisciplinary team providing treatment for patients with chronic somatic and mental health difficulties. Lynn then moved on to become the Intake Coordinator where she continued to be part of an integrated team in an administrative role with responsibilities that included coordinating appointments between patients and clinical staff.

Lynn graduated from Lakehead University with an Honours degree in Kinesiology and minor in Gerontology. It was during her studies that Lynn developed her passion for helping others.

Lynn is fluent in both French and English.
